Privacy policy

Last updated 9 September 2026

This policy explains what slideshow.now does with your personal data. The service is operated by Realtime Comms Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, which is the data controller. Contact us at hello@slideshow.now.

What we collect

  • Your email address, so you can sign in. We use magic links, so we never ask for or store a password.
  • What you create: the links, notes and ideas you paste, the slideshows, images, narration and videos generated from them, and the edits you make.
  • Usage records: which actions you ran, when, what they cost us and what they cost you. This is how your balance works.
  • Payment records: the amount, the date and a payment reference. We never see or store your card details.
  • A session cookie, which keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the service and we set no advertising or analytics cookies.

Why we are allowed to use it

We process your email and your content to perform our contract with you, because we cannot provide the service without them. We keep usage and payment records to comply with legal obligations and for our legitimate interests in preventing abuse and understanding cost.

Who else processes it

We use suppliers to run parts of the service. They act only on our instructions, receive only what their part of the work needs, and may not use your content for their own purposes. Where a supplier is outside the UK, the transfer relies on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.

  • AI providers for writing, images, narration and music. They receive the text and briefs needed to generate what you asked for.
  • Social data providers that collect public posts for research. They receive search terms, not your personal data.
  • Our payment provider, which handles cards and is a separate controller of your payment data under its own policy.
  • Our email provider, which sends your sign in links.
  • Our hosting provider, where the service and its database run.

We will tell you which companies these are if you ask: hello@slideshow.now. Your content is not sold, and we do not use it to train anyone's models.

How long we keep it

Your account and its slideshows stay until you ask us to delete them. Payment and usage records are kept for six years, which is what UK tax law requires. Sign in links expire after fifteen minutes and can be used once.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable form. Email hello@slideshow.now and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Security

Data is held on servers in the UK, access is restricted, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No service can promise perfect security, and we will tell you and the ICO without undue delay if a breach puts your rights at risk.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you by email if the change materially affects you.
